The Data and Analytics team in Salesforce.com's Showcase CRM organization seeks a Customer Intelligence Manager, Data Scientist for groundbreaking R&D projects to help our clients achieve extraordinary value by utilizing our application in the manner best suited to their needs.

As part of the Data and Analytics team, the successful candidate will work with massive datasets from multiple sources and use statistics, data mining and machine learning techniques to develop algorithms that analyze customer usage patterns and make actionable recommendations. The candidate will need to be equally at home discussing a project with business owners, developers, and researchers. The creativity and innovation of the new team-member will be key to the creation of successful data analysis and prediction products.

Responsibilities

• Cooperate with the Data Warehouse team to design and execute replicable data acquisition and utilization processes. Acquire, analyze, clean and structure data is an essential part of daily responsibilities.
• Interact with internal and potentially external clients to understand their requirements for applications of predictive analytics.
• Help develop and test predictive algorithms to be implemented as part of a Salesforce.com internal application.
• Understand business goals and initiatives and combine modeling skills with outstanding analytics expertise. Cooperate with IT and BI teams to ensure integration and implementation of the developed algorithms in the production environment.

• M.Sc. or equivalent in Computer Science or related field with 3 years of practical experience
• Data Warehousing, ETL and Business Intelligence tools wizard.
• Proficient in RDMS, able to formulate and refine SQL queries, experience with data modeling, analysis and profiling
• Experience with Data Mining, Machine Learning and Statistical Data Analysis and tools such as R or SPSS Modeler for predictive modeling.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, ability to communicate findings to product managers and engineers
• Ability to answer and identify client questions using appropriate techniques on available data
• Ability to function independently and as part of a team under aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment, convey a strong professional image, exhibit interest and positive attitude toward all assigned work, and strive for continued improvement. The successful candidate will enjoy the risk and opportunity of advanced technology development.

• Software development experience (Java)
• Fluency with at least one scripting language (Python or PHP, etc.)
• Experience with Hadoop and working with "big data".
• Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus.
• Travel Requirements: less than 10%
