As a Senior Predictive Modeler at MSB, you will:

• Develop and manage predictive models related to MSB's predictive modeling based solutions.
• Understand property and casualty insurance industry concepts and utilize actuarial expertise to create analytic solutions.
• Utilize large datasets and perform advanced statistical analysis.
• Perform model validation and support the implementation process.
• Present technical analysis to internal and external clients.
• Work with a team of predictive modeling and statistical analysts to develop analytics products.
• Contribute and brainstorm new ideas within a team environment.

• Extensive experience using statistical analysis and modeling tools like: SAS, SPSS, or R. Certifications will be a plus.
• Strong experience using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Ability to effectively use MS Office software including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Good writing, editing, communications, organizational, and decision making skills.
• Insurance industry credentials and Predictive modeling certifications will be a plus.

• Masters degree/PhD in Math, Economics, and/or Statistics preferred.
• Solid knowledge of P&C insurance industry practices and background in property insurance underwriting, actuarial science, or claims.
• Extensive hands-on predictive modeling experience with developing risk scoring, pricing, and fraud detection models.
• Experience working for a major property and casualty insurance company as a predictive modeler is strongly preferred.
