The Analytics and Data Sciences organization builds this capability into our products and services to reshape how consumers interact and engage with businesses. We are defining new products at the intersection of big data and natural user interfaces (speech, touch, and gesture). From prediction and engagement through to outcomes, [24]7's cloud-based customer service platform uses big data and predictive analytics to help businesses deliver more intuitive sales and service experiences across digital devices.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Seasoned Technical Leader who can lead complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-location teams and projects to build out and enhance Speech Science technology. Manage the design, development and adoption of world-class speech applications to automate mission-critical customer journeys with high quality user experiences. Coordinate efforts of internal stakeholders (sales, pre-sales, products, application design, analytics, development, and delivery) to ensure that applications meet customer requirements and exceed performance targets.

Summary of essential job functions

  • Lead a deeply technical cross-geo Speech Science team of Data Sciences, Analytics, Statistics, and Linguistics professionals to define and deliver cutting edge solutions.
  • Provide strategic leadership of ground-breaking Speech R&D initiatives in the areas of user identity modeling, user intent prediction, natural language techniques, advanced grammar regression, statistical language modeling, and acoustic modeling for speaker identification.
  • Evangelize the broader Data Sciences capabilities and solutions of [24]7 with clients and prospects.
  • Enhance self-service IVR customer experiences through predictive analytics, machine learning, text mining, and language modeling solutions.
  • Define program scope, goals and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee analysis and data-driven optimization of [24]7 speech applications.
  • Train and mentor analysts to produce data-driven analyses that deliver significant improvements in application efficiency, user experience, client satisfaction, and key performance indicators.
  • Cultivate solid relationships with key project stakeholders and cross-functional team leads.
  • Establish strategic relationships with clients to align optimization objectives, and present analyses and tuning recommendations to business stakeholders.
  • Own revenue projections and ROI for [24]7 Speech applications.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators and usability metrics.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Platform teams to enhance analytics framework capabilities and to generate standard and custom reports.
  • Work proactively with key stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are high quality.
  • Plan and manage multiple parallel projects through the entire project lifecycle.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and balance business needs against technical constraints.
  • Maximize resources for the greater good of the organization.
  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.
  • Remain flexible to changing priorities, open to new ideas, and have [24]7's success firmly in focus.
  • Help drive continual improvement and innovation.
  • Recruit Managers, Program Managers, Speech Scientists, Speech Engineers, and Business Analysts.
Minimum requirements (Education Qualification & Work Experience)
  • MS/PhD or equivalent
  • Field of graduate education - Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Linguistics, Business or related fields
  • 10+ years of experience in the field of analytics, advanced statistics, data mining and text mining
  • 5+ years in roles that create a tangible business impact through Analytics and Data Sciences
  • Experience in Big Data and predictive technologies a plus
  • Experience in IVR, Acoustic Modeling, Language Modeling, Signal Processing, Speech Recognition, Part-of-speech tagging, and/or Linguistic Corpora a plus
Competency Requirements: [Technical & Behavioral]
  • Passion and deep technical competency in quantitative methods and/or business analytics
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in the field of Analytics, Advanced statistics, data mining and text mining
  • Experience with managing business outcome driven projects and products
  • Very hands on in developing and implementing business solutions with techniques such as Data mining, Advanced Statistics, Artificial Intelligence based methods etc.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent aptitude for application of mathematics and quantitative methods to business problems
  • Ability to take complex and/or technical concepts and describe them in easy to understand business terminology
  • Strong project management, writing and interpersonal skills.
