(www.theophilus-inc.com) is seeking an experienced part-time Data Mining Developer with familiarity with recommendation engines and preferably Java expertise to work on an exciting novel hybrid data mining/recommendation system which analyzes human behavioral data to predict corporate sales outcomes, and provides recommendations on altering human behavior to directly change corporate sales. This may transition to a full time job for the appropriate candidate. Description
We are looking for a developer who can hit the ground running as a member of a development team working on a next-generation data mining/recommendation system. We were initially funded by the National Science Foundation and private investors, and operate a virtual office and flexible working hours (from 10-20 hrs/wk), and need somebody who is a self-starter and can work with minimum supervision. Candidates should have the following:

• Familiarity with predictive modeling and machine learning techniques, their implementation, and their evaluation
• Strong programming background in order to develop experimental prototypes and perform experimental evaluation; Java development experience (3-5 years)
• If possible, strong Relational Database and SQL experience (Oracle, MySql, MongoDB etc)
• Good communication and documentation skills
