Position: Project Manager - Statistical Modeler

We are looking for a Business Analyst/Modeler to become the Subject
Matter Expert (SME) in customer-focused call-center analytics. This is
a high-visibility opportunity for someone with strong analytical and
modeling skills to support initiatives designed to deliver
differentiated, cost-effective, service experiences in a call center
environment. The position will involve key accountability to assist in
the design, build and delivery of quantitative and predictive modeling
solutions to our customers, in support of business needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with business customers to identify key issues/business needs; develop planned analysis approach and identify requirements necessary to translate analysis outcomes into actionable recommendations
- Provide insights to business customers regarding data and use of analytics
- Design, develop and assist in implementation of predictive, trending and quantitative models designed to address identified business need
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed in support of departmental projects and business initiatives
- Ability to communicate complex analytical and/or statistical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Expertise in executing high-level analytics including predictive modeling, behavioral modeling, trending, time-series analysis, classification and segmentation techniques
- Ability to develop actionable, operational recommendations based on analysis outcomes
- Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, organization and critical thinking skills
- BA/BS degree or higher in quantitative area such as MIS, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Operations Research or Business
- 5+ years hands-on modeling and analysis experience, preferably in a financial services or marketing environment
Technical Skills:
- Experience with data querying tools such as SQL, SAS, SPSS, S-plus, Business Objects or similar
- Experience with statistical software (SAS, SPSS, SPlus, MiniTab, CART, or similar)
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Office tools, familiarity with graphing techniques/software
- SAS, VB, HTML or other programming experience a plus

WHAT IS THE COMPENSATION OPPORTUNITY?
At The Hartford, our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay competitive base salaries and we reward performance. Our salary range for the Project Manager - Statistical Modeler is $68,500 - $92,000 plus annual bonus compensation available. In addition, you will be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits program including medical insurance, a 401K Plan, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan and more.
