Applied Scientist

Evri is seeking extremely talented and energetic innovators to help us fundamentally change the way people find and interact with information on the web. We are tackling some of the most difficult problems in text analysis, computational linguistics, information retrieval and data mining. Our team is bringing the world a fundamentally new and more effective way of finding and navigating information by leveraging the power of our highly accurate deep natural language processing based text analysis and search platform.

We are looking for APPLIED SCIENTISTS to join our world class team and help rewire the web. Successful candidates will have a significant track record performing novel work in the areas of text analysis, information retrieval, data mining, or another related discipline.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong experience applying multiple algorithmic techniques to a variety of technical problems in areas like text analysis, information retrieval, machine learning and data mining.
• Algorithmically agile including the ability to conceive, design, prototype and deliver novel solutions to difficult problems, in a fast-moving start-up environment.
• Good programming skills. Java preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in working in a Unix/Linux environment
• Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Ruby
• 2+ years of development experience (Internet/Web related applications a plus)
• Experience with large scale commercially deployed distributed systems
