Bayer Adopts thinkAnalytics Technology to Enhance Research and Development

The Bayer team undertook an intensive evaluation of the data-mining marketplace with a special focus on research and production analysis applications. The thinkAnalytics' flagship product K.wiz was selected for its flexible distributed architecture and the ability for Bayer to add their own components and algorithms. Key Capabilities

  • Bayer will deploy K.wiz on over 40 networked servers to deliver high-performance and high-volume capabilities.
  • The R&D group will author their own specialized algorithms and analytical methods and combine them with the extensive K.wiz library of techniques, in a distributed data mining and knowledge discovery platform.
  • K.wiz will also be deployed on laptop computers to enable remote access for a worldwide research team.

The recently announced thinkAnalytics bio-sciences division will be creating products that will be key in the bioinformatics armory for all researchers in bio-science, including genomics and proteomics, providing large-scale storage, retrieval and assessment of data from biological studies.
