The Position: Sr. Quantitative Analyst

The function of the Senior Quantitative Analyst is to perform fact based, data driven quantitative modeling across the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyzes, interprets, and draws conclusions from corporate data using appropriate analytical techniques.
• Applies data mining techniques, quantifies the potential value of data mining discoveries and assists in implementing discoveries with significant value.
• Provides assistance to business areas in the design, implementation, analysis and evaluation of business area research.
• Assists in the evaluation and interpretation of statistical and analytical concepts, study designs, and results as they relate to the company's interaction with vendors, suppliers, and consultants.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's Degree (M.A.) required. Doctorate (Ph.D.) preferred. Degree should be in Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research or related quantitative discipline with one or more years of experience in using quantitative methods to solve practical industry problems.
• A solid understanding of both statistical modeling and optimization/mathematical programming concepts.
• Experience in applying advanced quantitative modeling techniques such as linear and logistic regression, linear and non-linear programming, data mining concepts, and simulation.
• Strong problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, apply appropriate quantitative methodology, and develop actionable business strategies.
• Advanced computer and analytical skills with proficiency in optimization software (SAS/OR, CPLEX, LINDO, etc.) and statistical analysis software (SAS, SPSS, etc.). Supply chain software experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of productivity applications (spreadsheets, word processors, presentation tools, e-mail) and database query tools.
