DaimlerChrysler Research Information and Communication is offering a PhD position in the area of data quality management / data quality mining for large, real-world data warehouse applications. The preferred candidate will be a PhD student, although the company may also consider a recent PhD graduate.

The work will focus on the development and application of data mining methods to analyze, measure, evaluate, and improve various data quality aspects such as completeness or consistency. The methods developed should be highly automated and integratable into real-world database applications.

You should be familiar with at least one programming language (C, C++, or Java) and have basic database and statistical knowledge. Due to frequent contacts with German business units, German language is essential.
