Microsoft Research seeks an individual who will provide data analysis and mining services to Microsoft business units. The aim is to provide complete solutions to business problems using various statistics and mining techniques with an emphasis on those produced by Microsoft Research and the SQL Server product group.

Qualifications sought:

• Significant experience solving business problems, including face-to-face interaction with client
• Broad experience applying data analysis techniques/tools to real-world, large data sets
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and fluency in SQL
• Fluency in C/C++ or VB
• M.S. in statistics (or equivalent)
• Good prototyping skills
• Ability to work independently and to innovate solutions to challenging technical problems
