Subject: Research Positions in Data Mining at Leipzig School of Management (HHL), Germany
For the IST-project PARMENIDES on temporal text mining,
ontology establishment and maintenance, there are following
position openings at the Leipzig Graduate School of Management
(HHL), Department of E-Business, Leipzig, Germany:
Pos 1 (October 1, 2002): 1 PhD student or Postdoc position
Pos 2 (January 1, 2003): 1/2 PhD student or Postdoc position
For position 1 we expect:
- university degree, preferably in computer science or
economics
- documented experience on data mining, text mining or
ontologies+statistical analysis
Software engineering skills (e.g. Java, C, C++) should be
available or acquired rapidly.
For position 2 we expect:
- university degree, preferably in computer science or
economics
- documented experience on data mining or knowledge
management
Familiarity with Perl and/or Java is essential.
