What are we looking for?

We are looking for PH.D. level statistician/econometrician to join our team of applied health services researches. What are the job responsibilities?

To provide methodological guidance and leadership on multiple health services research oriented projects. Will also serve as a liason with researchers external to Aetna. (i.e., academic medical centers and government collaborators and clients). What is required?

The ideal candidate will have health insurance industry experience. This position requires excellent communication skills. Must be familiar with SAS, Time Series Analysis, Statistical Modeling, Experimental Design, and Forecasting. Applicants must have a PHD with strong methodological skills that can be applied to actual business problems. Theoretical statisticians or econometricians who cannot apply their methods to business problems need not apply. Must be comfortable working with other researchers and analysts. Ideal candidates will have leadership experience and ability. Who are we?

The USQA data warehouse is used for many of Aetna/USQA analyses and is among the largest and most complete databases in the world. It contains more that seven terabytes of data. What is the work environment like?
