Job Description
Qualified individual will identify and analyze descriptive and predictive data elements. Individual will create economic models for existing and proposed Allstate financial products and create and validate predictive models. They will work with a diverse team to integrate research findings and models into company operations.

Qualifications:
Advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, machine learning or actuarial science. 5+ years experience in a business environment with demonstrated capability using sophisticated analytical techniques such as decision trees, neural networks and/or genetic algorithms. Familiarity w/data mining tools & SAS. Experience with one or more platforms (i.e., Mainframe, Sun, PC, etc.). Prior economic modeling experience of financial products. Strong quantitative skills and/or strong skills in the construction and management of very large databases. Creativity and problem solving with interest in formulating and implementing solutions to complex business problems. Ability to learn quickly and apply new tools and techniques. Must work well both independently and in a collaborative environment. Insurance and/or financial services knowledge required.
