EarthWeb (11/19/02) reports that almost 1 million IT jobs will be farmed out overseas over the next 15 years, according to a new report from Forrester Research. IT workers that don't upgrade their skills will be the first to lose their jobs, predicts Forrester's John McCarthy. He says the IT industry migration will be the first step toward the offshore transition of 3.3 million American jobs and $136 billion in wages to nations such as India, Russia, the Philippines, and China.
