Text mining software provider TEMIS has joined forces with IBM to develop and market a text-mining solution based on IBM Information Management Software and optimised for the life sciences market.

The resulting solution will be based on linguistics and analytics and will be able to analyse textual data in up to 11 different languages and extract documents that are searched for. The software will also be able to make links between two or more documents based on the analysis of the text contained within each one.

Also as part of the agreement IBM will become TEMIS' preferred IT provider for life sciences.

No financial terms were revealed.
