Subject: Seattle, WA: Data Warehouse Architect/Programmer at a fast growing solution provider

A data warehousing architect and programmer for a hosted, managed solution provider that is still small but undergoing explosive growth. This company contacts millions of consumers a day is accumulating vast quantities of rich behavioral data. In this position, you will be part of an analytics platform development group tasked with building and maintaining a data warehouse to support data mining and predictive modeling efforts. This position will require close interaction with the Base Platform Development group as well as Professional Services, Operations, Business Consulting, Customer Support, Sales and Finance.

The successful candidate will build the necessary infrastructure needed to support real-time model scoring as well as functions to support off-line data mining and discovery in an Oracle/Unix environment. Some experience with data mining and/or predictive modeling with massive datasets is highly desirable.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Architect household/customer level data warehouse
  • Implement and maintain code for transforming raw transaction data into household/customer level representations
  • Implement and maintain code to support data mining and modeling efforts.
  • Create infrastructure for efficient transfer off-line models to real-time scoring systems
  • Monitor live production applications for quality and effectiveness
  • Distribute production operational data to stakeholders within the company
Requirements (Experience / Skills)

Required:

  • BA/BS in engineering or mathematics required
  • Excellent SQL skills, preferably Oracle
  • Reporting definition and implementation experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, and candidates will also need to have experience working in a team environment
Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in quantitative field (i.e., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research or related field)
  • Experience working with large data sets
Duration: Full Time or Contract to Hire
