Subject: MDR: Multifactor Dimensionality Reduction software (open-source)

The Computational Genetics Laboratory at Dartmouth College is pleased to announce the availability of the open-source multifactor dimensionality reduction (MDR) software package. MDR is a powerful data mining tool for identifying attribute interactions that are associated with a discrete class. The MDR method uses a constructive induction algorithm to change the representation space prior to classification. The software is programmed in Java and comes with an easy to use GUI that includes graphical output.

MDR can be downloaded for free from http://www.epistasis.org/mdr.html.
