Description
Works independently or jointly with other departments to provide analytical pre-sales and delivery services. Develops analytical applications and presentations for consulting sessions. Maintains knowledge in analytical methods and related SAS procedures and products.

• Provides support for services that contain a statistical consulting component; conducts workshop sessions for consulting and may assist in training workshops; coordinates efforts for on-site visits.
• Provides technical assistance for statistical consulting sessions; oversees data acquisition, validation, and management from incoming data sources.
• Provides high level expertise and consults with prospects and customers to structure their analytical environments and architecture
• Maintains an understanding of SAS products and solutions and how they fit together to meet the needs of the business.
• Participates in in-house corporate training sessions containing statistical material.
• Becomes proficient in the use of base SAS software, SAS/STAT procedures, and statistical SAS add-on products, such as Enterprise Miner and Text Miner.
• Contacts on-site consulting clients and meets with prospective clients.
• Reviews documentation, publications, and course materials.

• Master's degree in Statistics or closely related field with extensive knowledge in the application of statistics using the SAS system.
• Four years of experience analyzing data and/or teaching, including at least one year using the SAS system.
• Travel as business requirements dictate at management discretion

• Public speaking, pre-sales or sales engineering , consulting, or classroom teaching experience.
• Strong presentation skills (white board and power point)
• Experience and understanding of implementing an analytical environment and structuring technical architecture within a large organization or in a distributed environment
• Experience with Java, C or other programming languages
