The goal of the Marketing Intelligence group is to provide input & actionable insights about current & potential customers to the Direct Marketing team to help us more efficiently stimulate demand via effective targeting, modeling and analysis of consumers and their behaviors (propensities). The Senior Marketing Analyst will lead the development of analytics that help in defining customer segments. In addition this individual will work with other key members of the Marketing Intelligence business unit (within Relationship Marketing) to find new patterns and trends within large data sets. From introducing data mining techniques like, Clustering, CHIAD, C&RT, Neural Networks etc to the actual implementation of scripts and managing analytical software models, this position will address key needs within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • 65% 1. Developing analytical models and introducing key techniques.
  • 35% 2. Providing insights and developing documentation on new learnings.
Requirements:
  • Education: Requires a bachelor�s degree in business information, MIS, advanced degree preferred
  • Area of Study: Computer Science, Statistics/Math other quantitative field
  • Years of experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in database management, direct marketing and/or marketing strategy.
  • Type of experience: A database marketing background is essential. Analytical & critical reasoning skills required. Familiarity with marketing concepts and measurement are a must. Analytical Marketing � ability to build analytical models using statistical techniques. Communications, financial services or internet industry preferred.
Technical Skills:
  • Prior experience with SPSS and or SAS software required. Clementine experience a plus
  • Practical experience integrating data; process; infrastructure (Internal/external) to enable advancement of direct marketing capabilities
  • Project management of marketing development initiatives
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret data and provide effective recommendations to the marketing/business team on solution to enhance or change processes and procedures
