Subject: Arlington, VA or San Diego, CA: Senior Statistician at Claritas
Claritas is seeking Statisticians to join its team of market research
industry leaders. Claritas, Inc. is the premier provider of

of customer acquisition as well as growing customer value. Claritas

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct advanced statistical and mathematical modeling using multivariate methods, linear/non-linear modeling, and sampling techniques
- Communicate complex issues to diverse audiences orally and in writing
- Provide direction on analytical strategies and techniques, data interpretation, and implementation of models to make appropriate business decisions
- Perform analysis of consumer behavior, market research and/or location research with customer and corporate data
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or similar quantitative field, Ph.D. preferred.
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Programming knowledge in SAS and SQL. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Minimum of two years business experience in applied statistics
- Experience in market research and analysis of consumer behavior a plus
- Multivariate analysis with parametric and non-parametric methods
- Advanced computer skills including working knowledge of either SAS or SPSS
- Database marketing project production skills
- Ability to multitask in a team environment and effectively meet deadlines
- Ability to team with marketing and geography experts, SQL programmers, and customers
- Excellent analytical and written/verbal communication skills
- Experience using GIS software (MapInfo, ArcView) preferred but not required
- Experience with demographic and/or psychographic data preferred but not required
