Job Field: Software R&D

Description: As a member of the Enterprise Miner development team, you will contribute to the research and development of advanced data mining algorithms and functions, which includes but is not limited to supervised modeling techniques. Primary research and development of SAS System procedures using the C programming language will be included within your scope of responsibilities, as you collaborate with applications developers, senior statistical researchers, product marketing, systems engineers, and technical support personnel. You will also work with testing and documentation staffs to develop test plans and contribute to product documentation and participate in the internal and external data mining communities.

Qualifications

Essential

• Ph.D./Master's in statistics, computer science, or a quantitative field.
• Experience in statistical or machine learning models, such as Support Vector Machines.
• Experience with a structured programming language, such as C or FORTRAN.
• Experience with data analysis.

• Ability to work independently, as well as with a team.

• At least three years of experience with a structured programming language, such as FORTRAN or, preferably, C.
• At least two years of data analysis experience.
• A minimum of two years of SAS programming experience.
• A minimum of two years of experience developing data mining applications for end-users.
• Experience with SAS Macro and SQL programming.
