Position: Fraud Prevention / Detection Manager

Job Description

The Fraud Prevention Manager will be responsible for developing and operating Airtrade International's fraud prevention, investigation and analysis processes. The manager will be responsible for defining and deploying fraud prevention techniques and systems. The position combines both analytical and investigative roles, and is perfect for a seasoned analytically-focused fraud person looking for a new challenge and step up in responsibility. This position is the first and lead position for what may grow into a larger department. Reports to the Director of Fulfillment.

Qualifications / Requirements
Note: Please make sure that you have the appropriate qualifications before applying.

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent required. MS in analytical, mathematical or computational field preferred. As an alternative, a law enforcement degree and experience with fraud or cybercrime investigation is acceptable.
  • Extensive prior experience with fraud analysis or prevention systems, or as a fraud investigator
  • Strong understanding of credit card and payment processes and technologies
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools
  • Experience defining rules-based and statistical fraud detection routines (direct programming experience not required)
  • Prior employment with an online retailer, auction site, payment processor, or other online business taking payments is very valuable
  • Knowledge of the travel industry valuable but not required
  • Strong computer skills with a variety of tools
  • Detail orientated, problem solver personality

Job Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the fraud prevention department of Airtrade International Inc.
  • Define necessary processes and systems
  • Develop rules-bases and statistical detection algorithms
  • Select and implement necessary fraud-related technology and methodologies
  • Oversee the fraud investigation process completed in house or at our outsourced call center
  • Determine appropriate metrics to capture to monitor fraud and detection performance
  • Design and help develop appropriate data capture and reporting processes and technologies
  • Monitor and improve performance of fraud detection techniques implemented at Airtrade International Inc.
