Academic/Research Positions

A postdoctoral position is available at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida in the areas of machine learning and bioinformatics. The ideal candidate should have a PhD in CS or EE with a proven record in machine learning and data mining. The main duty is to perform research on statistical learning, dimensionality reduction, graphical modeling, and their applications to cancer prognosis and genetic regulatory networks using microarray and proteomics data. Biological knowledge is not required. Aside from these core assignments, the appointee will have the freedom to pursue research in machine learning, bioinformatics, and statistics, according to their interests.
