Thank you to all the data miners who responded to the KDnuggets 08:n03 news item, and participated in our survey. So far over two hundred data miners have told us about the algorithms they use, the data they analyze, the software they use, and the challenges they face. If you haven�t taken the survey yet, we invite you to participate. We�ll be closing the survey soon, so this is your last opportunity to participate in this year�s survey.

Please also help spread the word: tell the data miners in your network about the survey. We want to have as large and broad a sample of data miners as possible.

Many people from the data mining community provided suggestions and helped shape this year's research. We look forward to sharing the results with you, and to continuing to build on this research foundation each year. It is our sincere hope that this research provides useful information to the data mining community. We will post a summary of this year's results to the KDnuggets newsletter.
