The Index Platform Test Team is looking for a senior test lead with strong computer science fundamentals to champion the quality of our Index platform, the search backend that serves millions of search results every day. We are very focused on tool development, experimentation, automation development around next generation projects and enhancing existing tests that validate the core functionality, reliability and performance of our large scale and distributed serving pipeline. As a manager, you will be responsible for driving ensuring a high quality bar for the products that get shipped by your team with short release cycles. You will also engage very closely with other core search and partner teams that are dependent on our platform like relevance, instant answers and user experience to drive end-to-end scenario validation. And above all, you will groom future leaders within the team and help hire and retain great talent.

Being at the very core of Bing, it also offers great exposure to the latest software and hardware technology trends in the search industry. A successful candidate will have excellent technical, project management and communication skills with a proven track record in successfully shipping products. Also, the candidate is expected to have strong coding skills in developing applications and/or service-oriented systems with .Net/C# or C/C++, strong background in test case design and automation, and have a good understanding of networking and databases (SQL/data mining). Seven or more years experience in the software field and a BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred.
