Semcasting is a company based in Andover, MA that utilizes patented analytics software and large online and offline databases to help advertisers identify targeting solutions that are optimized for the needs of retailers, financial institutions, non-profits, political organizations and the agencies and database marketers that serve them. We are focused on the buy-side, providing advertisers and marketers with the next generation of targeting solutions by leveraging our proprietary data and predictive modeling to improve the effectiveness of their marketing campaigns.

Semcasting currently serves over 150 partners and supplies targeting data to over 750 campaigns a year. We create and supply our partners with financial affluence, ethnicity, consumer interest data, and territory management. We catalog over 30K intent categories from the top 1 million sites and provide social media influence profiling. We support franchises, auto resellers, bankers, insurance and travel companies with on-demand targeting that allows marketers to reach prospective affinity groups on a massive scale.

Statistical measurement, genetic algorithms, and machine learning technologies form the core of our business model. The hallmark of our business is our ability to leverage our proprietary data and predictive modeling to provide customers with a custom multi-channel, on-demand targeting solution in a fraction of the time required for most campaigns.

This is a hands-on position. We are seeking applied statistical analysts with strong SAS programming and computer science backgrounds with an experience and/or interest in Web 2.0 technologies. You will support current production requirements with partners, construct new data solutions, and develop predictive modeling applications base on a large and diverse mix of online and offline data.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and execute specific client data analyses.
  • Apply classification, clustering, data reduction, sampling and evaluation for the benefit of client campaigns.
  • Assist in the development and updating of core data variables
REQUIRED IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION
  • College degree with significant experience with SAS and/or other predictive modeling software applications and techniques including linear models, logistic regression, testing and validation and sampling techniques.
  • Ability to build predictive models for production applications.
  • Ability to manage a campaign or project from beginning to end. Self-starter.
  • Ability to effectively communicate solution designs and concepts, both verbally and in writing, to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability and willingness to engage with clients and sales in a support role exercising your communications skills and appropriate business savvy.
  • Ability to work and play well with others in a dynamic, collaborative environment
VALUED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience with online advertising and social network data
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL; Oracle and MySQL
  • Comfort and experience with massive data sets.
