Data Mining School Project

Hello everyone, I have to do a project on just about any topic in data mining.

Does anyone have any suggestions and if so where can I find some information on the subject.

My Prof. suggested fuzzy approaches but I couldn't find too much info on it.

Fuzzy data mining is not popular and has few applications.

Social network mining and analysis is now a hot topic -
look at a recent KDD workshop for specific ideas

ounds like an interesting project or at least a great excuse to get in touch with new technology -- I wish there would have been stuff like that when I went to school.

In most cases AWS offers you a barebone server, so the obvious question is, have you decided how you want to process your data? E.g. -- do you just want to run a shell script on the .xml's or do you want to use hadoop, etc.?

The beauty of AWS is that you can get all the capacity you need -- on demand. E.g., in your case you probably don't need multiple instances just one beefy instance. And you don't have to pay for a root server for an entire month or even a week if you need the server only for a few hours.

If you let us know a little bit more on how you want to process the data, maybe we can help further.

Hello guys!

For my school project in data mining course, I have also chosen the data at your site (this years), but didn't quite look at it before hand. Now I'm a bit lost

1. Where can I get more info about attributes? I found the glossary, but i still need to know how are the ratings and rates calculated. Or how is the time interval chosen in mathups.txt?

2. What to look for when data mining? I thought about doing classification for the winner team, but first i would rather do something less complex. Like in the players.txt look for relations between attributes. If you have any suggestions...

There is a lot of interest in social media. Perhaps analyzing data around facebook, twitter, etc. Perhaps you could find probable relationships of particular topics of interest. Or you could find connections based on a segmentation.

project is sequence of work.project is a human thought sequence.In project important is analysis,because whole the system is depend upon your analysis.what.?,how.?,where.? analysis you.!
2nd is designing part it is depend upon your project,suppose your project on any professional area than design will be light ,attractive and professional.for example your project is on child program than your design will be a cartoons,angels etc...3rd is coding it is depend upon the program how and what type of do the coding.
