I am a Ph.D Scholar. I am interested in doing my research in Medical Data Mining. Please suggest me some areas in Medical Field for research.

Medical field is very broad.

For example, you could try to mine patterns or predict the evolution of adisease, the side-effects of drugs, ...

There is also some people working on patterns or classifying medical images.

Sir Thank you. Can i go with Clustering concepts applied in Cancer / Heart disease data base and classify the patients details with different clustering concept and proving one of the methodology is best suitable.

Looks like a good topic. You can maybe start with some existing methods and later you can improve the methods. For a Ph.D. in computer science, you should develop your own methods or improved methods (not just use the existing methods).

Since medical mining is related to human beings, Privacy is of great concern here specially the data maintenance and separations.
