im doing pg in computer science and i want to a project on any ieee journals ....i selected my area as data mining ..but lil bit confused abt the current relevant area ...pls ny1 suggest me a topic and area...

A suggestion: you could do something about social network mining. It is a very popular topic now. Another popular topic is recommendation systems. I would recommend to read a little bit on the topics that you are interested in. This will help you to get some ideas. For example, you could check the paper published at the recent conferences in data mining...

thank you sir... i cant go for conference papers the thing is only journals are permitted to do as projects ...sure i ll read the stuffs u mentioned...

I understand that you want to write journal papers. But it does not mean that should not read conference papers...

Actually, there are some top conferences that are much better than many journals.
