BI Data Analyst
4 Month Contract (Strong possibility of extension)
Toronto, ON (Only residents of Toronto will be considered)



The successful candidate will take an active role in supporting, maintaining and enhancing the current and future business applications/reporting in a distributed environment. The ideal candidate will be developing/maintaining/supporting processes that support such Business Intelligence Executive Information Systems, CRM Communications, Winbacks and Retention.


The ideal candidate will have:


- 3-6 years programming and analysis experience in a distributed environment
- a solid understanding and experience with financial and business intelligence applications
- the ability to work within a team
- excellent problem solving skills
- strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- excellent oral and written communication skills.


Specific assets include:

- Strong experience creating database tables, indexes, Transact-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, SSIS/DTS packages and reporting applications including Crystal reports

- Strong Data Mining/Data Analysis experience in extracting and categorizing data to identify and analyze behavioral data to uncover hidden patterns, unknown correlations and other useful information.

Knowledge of the following languages:

o C#, VB.Net, MSSQL applications proficiency – SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Query Analyzer

Demonstrated proficiency in defining and documenting the following:

o system components and related interfaces

o technical design and translating detailed program specifications into program code; Technical estimates for assigned work packages

- Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, or activities

o Strong planning, time management and organization skills

o Works well in a team setting and can manage external vendor relationship(s)

o Ability to deliver small to largely complex solutions with minimal supervision
