Hi, there is a lot of possible topics about association rules. For example:
- applications of association rules
- how to automatically choose the most appropriate association rule mining algorithm for a dataset given the dataset characteristics.
- high utility association rules
- uncertain association rules
- faster incremental association rule mining algorithms
- top-k fuzzy association rules.
- etc.
- etc.

There is a lot of topics. Actually, to choose a good topic, you need to read the latest papers and see some opportunities to improve the algorithms or to get some ideas for some new applications. The ideas that I have mentionned are not necessarily the best ideas because i did not spend time to do a litterature review, which is important to choose a topic
