Innocentive: Data Fusion Analysis from Moving Vehicles, Ideation Challenge

Develop novel thinking for fusion of background radiation measurements, GPS, high-resolution video, and LIDAR and propose algorithms for detection, localization, and identification of radiation anomalies. Submissions due Aug 26.

Data Fusion AnalysisData Fusion Analysis from Moving Vehicles

AWARD: $10,000 USD | DEADLINE: 8/26/13

The Seeker desires that Solvers develop novel thinking for methods and approaches for fusion of four different data sets. Ultimately, the Seeker is looking for algorithm concepts that would be capable of high-confidence detection, localization, and identification of anomalies within background radiation measurements. Methodologies considered will be those that incorporate high-resolution video camera data into the design.

There are four data sets that the Seeker is trying to fuse into a common picture:

  1. background radiation measurements,
  2. GPS,
  3. high-resolution video
  4. LIDAR.

The Seeker’s primary interest is focused on enhancing the richness of the radiation measurements. Novel thinking and design of a fusion strategy, methodology, and the value that would be added by linking the data sets together will be items the Seeker will consider as key items in determining submissions to award for this Challenge.

This is an Ideation Challenge with a guaranteed award for at least one submitted solution.

Submissions to this Challenge must be received by 11:59 PM (US Eastern Time) on 26-Aug-2013. Late submissions will not be considered.
