New IBM Big Data for Social Good Challenge is open to developers around the world, and starts on Nov 10.

Using city data developers can create applications for social good and win great prizes.

Challenge: Build applications that drive social good using IBM's Hadoop platform

Format: Global, online challenge/hackathon

Data Partnerships: City of Boston, City of Los Angeles, City of San Jose and others

Prizes: Cash and trees
