The College of Engineering at the University of Oklahoma invites applicants for a tenure track faculty at the rank of an assistant professor for a position serving our newly created interdisciplinary graduate program in Data Science and Analytics.  The School of Computer Science and the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering within the College of Engineering have collaborated to develop this graduate program in both traditional and online formats. The faculty position’s home department will be based on the academic qualifications of the successful candidate.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or related areas. Candidates should have demonstrated potential for outstanding research in data science and analytics and have ability to teach courses in these areas at all levels, including advising M.S and Ph.D. students.  Applicants with experience working with industry in the areas of data science and analytics will be highly considered.

The application package should include 1) a single-page cover letter explaining your interest in this program, 2) a curriculum vitae, 3) teaching and research statements, 4) 1-2 papers that best represent research contributions and scholarship, and 5) a list of at least three references.
