Position Summary
Design, analyze, and implement research projects as defined by the Director of Institutional Research. Provide analytical support for assessing academic and administrative operations. File federal and state compliance reports and respond to national surveys. Respond to individual requests for data and information from the CMU community, including faculty, students, and staff. Maintain the Office of Institutional Research's website and keep the OIR's on-line reports well organized and updated. Support/enhance the university's data warehouse and build web-based data analytics tools for the Office of Institutional Research. Conduct sophisticated analytical studies on student enrollment, retention and graduation in support of the university's strategic enrollment initiatives.

Required qualifications include Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in data management and quantitative research; 1 year experience; demonstrated expertise in computer programming, web design, and SPSS or SAS statistical application program; demonstrated verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated organizational skills and strong attention to detail in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines; demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively - able to build and maintain good interpersonal relationships with work associates and meet user needs.

Desired qualifications include advanced knowledge of statistics and information system management; expertise in designing a web-based decision support data system and familiarity with such languages as Java Script and SQL; experience in implementing a data warehouse programs.

Wage: Commensurate with qualifications.

Hours: Primarily Mon-Fri (8-5); evening/weekends as necessary.
