Major Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist at Archimedes, you will help develop new tools to bring the insights of the Archimedes model into the clinic and improve healthcare.

  • Support the team of modeling experts by developing analytic tools and capabilities that leverage healthcare datasets and leading statistical and mathematical techniques for knowledge discovery
  • Architect and develop prototype scientific software products
  • Support scientists analyzing large healthcare related datasets
  • Work closely with the production software team during the product lifecycle

Minimum Requirements

  • MS+2 yrs exp or PhD in a mathematical or scientific field
  • Strong software development experience and fluency in one or more of C++, Java or Python.
  • Experience with modeling and data analysis methods such as parametric and non-parametric models, numerical optimization, machine learning, principal component analysis, longitudinal data analysis. (e.g. SAS and R)
  • Familiarity with numerical, and database software (e.g. CPLEX, MOSEK, CouchBase, Postgresql)
  • Deep understanding of probability and statistics
  • Capacity to quickly learn and understand new aspects of mathematical modeling
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
