Our team does Click Prediction of Ads which is one of the fundamental problems in Sponsored Search. The probability of an ad being clicked is one of the most important and fundamental inputs used in the ranking of ads. This particular position is for the modeling team, which builds machine learnt models for click prediction. The team looks at all aspects of modeling including training data, features, the actual model (neural nets, linear models, decision trees etc) and offline and online evaluation of those models.

A successful candidate should be passionate about machine learning, mining patterns from big data, and creative with feature and data engineering. They should also be comfortable working on short and fast release cycles, and should be readily able to switch from one problem domain to another. The candidate should also have excellent communication, collaboration and analytical skills.

Successful candidate should have strong algorithmic and design skills, and should be comfortable mining patterns from big data. They should be comfortable with developing in C++ and/or C# and should also be fluent in some scripting languages like Perl, Python etc.

Required Qualifications:
1) B.S. in Computer Sceience (or related discipline). M.S./Ph.D Preferred.
2) 3+ years solid software development and engineering experience (C/C++, C#, Perl, Python).
3) Great design and problem solving skills, with a strong bias for quality and engineering excellence at scale
4) The most successful candidates will possess the ability to learn new techniques from textbooks or research papers and apply them to the business problem at hand
