Position Summary

We're looking for a highly talented Analytics Engineer / Data Scientist to join the Behance team in our office in Soho, NYC. As a part of the Adobe family, we're crafting the future of creative workflow. You'll work hand-in-hand with our talented team of designers, developers, and community managers to create products that connect and empower the creative world. You'll play a critical role in improving the lives of millions of creatives.

You have extensive experience in working with large datasets to find trends that drive product decisions. You're comfortable working with a design team to analyze the data you've gathered. You can balance multiple projects and competing demands, and are comfortable in flat, matrixed teams.

You have an expertise in analytics infrastructure --- Hadoop, Splunk, or your own favorite.

You will be a key team member in developing, managing, and growing all aspects of a robust product analytics practice.

Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science or Mathematics preferred
  • Familiarity in statistical analysis
  • 2+ years experience in building or maintaining an analytics infrastructure, especially event logging and aggregation from web & mobile clients
  • Strong experience building tools with PHP and MySQL and experience with the the full lamp stack
  • Strong understanding of various analytics and data analysis tools
  • Comfortable in a small, fast-moving environment

 
Pluses:
  • Linux system fundamentals, networking and file systems
  • Gearman, or other queueing/job-worker systems
  • MongoDB

 
Key responsibilities
  • Drive the creation of a robust analytics 'tech stack' to log and analyze all product data
  • Provide ongoing analyses and reports of key metrics for the business and products
  • Create tools to analyze the impact of new products and features
  • Tie together various analytics tools
  • Solve non-trivial coding and architecture problems with simple and innovative solutions
  • Implement the newest cutting edge technology to understand usage and data generated from Behance.
