Air Liquide is the world leader in gases, technologies and services for Industry and Health.
Mission: Working in close collaboration with end-users in Air Liquide's Operations, develop data mining methods and tools that can be used for improving efficiency, reliability, and overall business effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
Drive innovation in research projects focused on the development of descriptive and predictive analytical methodologies and tools using historical and real-time process and business data:
- Collaborate with operating entities to define the problem and business requirements, translate it into functional design specifications and develop solutions. Identify, evaluate and select industrial or academic partners as needed.
- Develop solutions using methods including but not limited to clustering, regression, time series analysis, and decision trees to analyze historical data from global operations.
- Program, implement, test and verify performance of these methodologies by prototype tools using Matlab, Javascript, Python, R, SAS or similar development environments.
- Define industrial tools based upon the performance verification, ensure transfer of the tool to the operational entities and provide support to the industrialization phase
- Train team members on details of methodologies implemented, thus ensuring sustainability of the solution for Air Liquide.
- Challenge data mining and statistical analysis methods currently used at Air Liquide, namely by performing benchmarks with off-the-shelf tools to ensure best-in-class performance of Air Liquide
- Apply data mining and analytics expertise to Air Liquide business development.
Also
- Work within a multi-disciplinary and international team including internal and external partners.
- Maintain international cooperation with R&D counterparts globally.
- Contribute by writing technical research papers and patents to capture know-how and promote Air Liquide research. Establish reputation for quality and timeliness of technical communications.
- Transfer "know-how". Manage technical communication between R&D, outside partners and Air Liquide partners. Manage technology transfer to R&D, partners and other Air Liquide entities.
