The challenge

Adobe is looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to be part of the development team that produces a complex, high-performance analytics product called Adobe Data Workbench. Our engineering staff enjoys building cutting-edge technology to tackle the mountainous challenges involved in performing truly real-time, flexible analysis on large scale data sets. We are also called upon to generate innovative ideas to further Adobe's domination of the customer analytics industry through the application of algorithmic machine learning models to address customer segmentation, propensity scoring, and channel attribution. What you’ll do
  • Participate in the evolution of Adobe Data Workbench a world-class, high-performance, enterprise-scale analytics software platform.
  • Conceive, design, and implement innovative new features and functionality.
  • Design and optimize complex algorithms to improve scalability and performance for large data sets in a NoSQL environment.
  • Work with a small team of developers on several development projects.
  • Own and maintain large portions of the product.
  • Have fun doing so!

What you need to succeed
  • Superior algorithm and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in C++.
  • Strong math skills.
  • The ability to rapidly become familiar with a large, complicated software system.
  • Experience with server-side application development.
  • Experience with design of large, distributed systems.
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms.
  • Experience designing and developing high-performance, multi-threaded software.
  • Experience with Big Data/NoSQL architectures (ex. Hadoop/MapReduce).
  • BA/BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A detail-oriented and highly self-motivated personality.
  • Willingness to work in an extremely challenging & fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with OpenGL is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience developing for Windows is a plus but not mandatory.
