The Revenue Management and Analytics (RM&A) team supports clients across The Walt Disney Company, including Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, Disney Cruise Line, Media Networks (i.e. ABC, ESPN), Studio Entertainment and Disney Interactive Media in the core competencies of yield management, revenue planning, forecasting, pricing and optimization. Key partners to the RM&A organization include Marketing, Finance, Business Development, Research and Operations.

Roles within RM&A support teams in developing, analyzing, and executing strategies to maximize profitability and improve the value proposition for our Guests, Cast Members and Shareholders. They deliver innovative and optimal analytical solutions through the use of technology, decision modeling, collaborative partnerships and comprehensive business insights to shape business decisions and drive business value.

The Sr. Planning Analyst analyzes and identifies business drivers using statistical/financial models, market research and external/economic data. The successful candidate will have a natural curiosity to understand the "why" behind favorable or unfavorable business performance, strong quantitative skills, and a desire to take a proactive role in partnering and problem-solving.

Perform measurement and ad-hoc analyses of attendance, rooms, food and beverage revenue, and merchandise revenue to support the planning processes and strategic growth initiatives for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts (WDP&R). Proactively identify and evaluate business drivers and key metrics to provide objective and analytical insights regarding the business, and create measurement models using statistical and econometric techniques. Partner with key players across the organization to understand initiatives and ensure that measurement plans include all relevant information. Leverage new data sources to measure impacts of technology initiatives on the business.

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum three years analysis and/or strategy development experience
  • Demonstrated experience with statistical analysis software (R, SAS, SPSS, Stata, E-views)
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency in Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to work with uncertain/ambiguous results, and an ability to use different techniques to estimate financial impacts
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a positive demeanor
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding the business impact

Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of WDP&R planning processes, including the understanding of visitation metrics and revenue drivers
  • Prior experience with revenue management, pricing and/or forecasting
  • Knowledge of market research techniques and survey data
  • Knowledge of economic data and an interest in world/US economic affairs
  • Experience supervising interns/Jr. Analysts

Preferred Education
  • Master's degree or MBA

Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Finance or other quantitative field or equivalent
