Job Description
Merkle, Inc. is growing and we are looking for a data operations Leader to become an integral part of our operations team. You'll help design and implement solutions using cutting edge technology and environments. You'll work on a close knit team where every accomplishment improves the business, and your input and expertise will be valued and rewarded. The ideal candidate has some Ad Ops experience and is familiar with the ad:tech ecosystem, including DMP's, DSP's, Facebook, ad servers, mobile platforms, portals, and exchanges as well as traditional offline processes. You are comfortable with digital technology and have experience with both anonymous pixel data and massive, offline data files.

You are very detail oriented, able to juggle several projects simultaneously, and always looking for ways to streamline processes and reduce errors. As a critical part of operational delivery, you work hard and take pride in helping the company and your team win. You are always looking for how to make things more bullet proof, yet you are creative and adaptable in your approach.

  • Manage the processes and day-to-day relationships to transfer data from Merkle to technology, channel, media and client platforms
  • Monitor day to day data operations to ensure security, stability, integrity and efficiency of data and processes
  • Manage data transfers from clients and client teams to Data Operations team and back out to our partners and clients
  • Serve as operations subject matter expert for digital and traditional data process
  • Design rigorous processes and workflows to ensure excellent execution and communication with the key team stakeholders - both internal and external
  • Work with additional staff, including global teams, as needed

Skills & Desired Experience
  • Very comfortable with digital data and systems
  • Ad Operations experience highly recommended
  • Strong knowledge of traditional offline data processes
  • Experience with 3rd party data systems and intercompany data transfer schemes (Batch files, JSON, XML, S2S pixel syncs) and platforms including Cloud Marketing stacks, DMP's, DSP's, exchanges, Ad Servers, Data exchanges, et cetera.
  • Experience in processing large data file with tools like SAS or through Linux shell scripts
  • Analytically and technically oriented with an ability to troubleshoot problems and squash bugs
  • Very detail-oriented, organized and able to juggle many tasks and projects
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience managing a small, highly effective team
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
