SapientNitro are looking for an ambitious individual with a proven track record for delivery that has the ability to lead multi-channel, real time, measurement and analytics initiatives. The chosen candidate should combine the technical domain skills to understand measurement, the client facing skills to build strong strategic relationships and the leadership ability to run a high performing analytics team.

As a senior member of the data and analytics practice, the role is vital in continuing to build the profile of the team both internally and externally. Open to learning, the role requires an individual who can embrace the latest technology and techniques to tackle the ever evolving world of data and analytics in marketing. The role will involve working on a daily basis with other domains including technology, creative, experience design, strategy and client services and will be responsible for ensuring their approach has data driven insights at the forefront.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of developing product and service propositions, formalising approaches through repeatable frameworks and taking them to market.

As Team Accela analytics lead, the role will work closely with the global analytics team to drive the growth and quality of SapientNitro's analytics practice across our offices in New York, Boston and Arlington (VA).

Role purpose
  • Lead the analytics function
  • Advise clients on how to generate measurable business benefit from marketing activity
  • Enable clients to optimize their digital experience and drive revenue through a data driven approach
  • Build the profile and clarify the purpose of the analytics practice internally with colleagues
  • Accountable for delivery of high quality analysis projects to brief, on time and to budget
  • Represent SapientNitro as an expert in your field, providing the client with best practice solutions to analytics problems
  • Raise the spectre of measurement within client organisations and help to improve levels of understanding
  • Be the domain lead on business development pursuits
  • Create a strong working relationship with clients
  • Inspire colleagues to adopt performance marketing measurement best practices
  • Play an active role in the development of junior colleagues

Key responsibilities
  • You will work with clients to advise, design and deploy best practice measurement solutions for all forms of digital activity
  • You will understand the role of data in world of marketing and commerce and use that understanding to drive positive outcomes
  • You will advise clients on the appropriate strategy, technology, process, governance and capability
  • You will be responsible for transforming digital data into insightful and clear, concise, action oriented recommendations
  • You will advise clients on the role of data in multi-channel and real time marketing strategies
  • You will ensure the quality of work delivered is consistently of the highest possible quality
  • You will solve client problems using sound understanding of methodologies, techniques and technology
  • You will work with sales, marketing, user experience and design teams, applying your data expertise to solve their problems

Candidate Requirements
  • At least 15 years' experience in the realm of marketing analytics
  • Passionate about making an impact through data driven insights
  • Strategic thinking and doer
  • Ability to formalise capabilities into compelling client facing offerings
  • Experience of working in a service environment (agency / consultancy)
  • Confident and concise oral presenter
  • Track record of forming and managing large analytics teams
  • Expert ability to interpret, present and derive strategic recommendations from insight data
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to translate complex analysis into well-structured and simple to understand presentations and recommendations
  • Expert presence with proven track record of engaging c-suite clients
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, therefore strong time management and organisation skills required
  • Experience of successfully managing high performing analytics teams
  • Understanding of advanced analytics techniques, concepts and tools
  • Proven track record working and managing multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal skills - works well with team members and internal clients
  • Degree educated ideally business management including statistics, economics or mathematics
  • Deep understanding of online marketing disciplines and how they contribute to customer acquisition, conversion and retention
  • Breadth of experience across all marketing disciplines from advertising to experiences
