This position will support the digital or web analytic needs of all business units by implementing, configuring and supporting web analytical tools such as Webtrends, Adobe Analytics, or Google Analytics, etc.
  • A successful candidate will be able to translate business requirements into technical documentation and leverage this to configure analytic tools aimed at enabling ongoing website analysis.
  • This candidate must also be comfortable partnering and collaborating with various internal stakeholders in the following business functions; Marketing, Corporate Communications, Customer Service, and IT.
  • Developing relationships with external partners such as Webtrends, Adobe, Search Discovery, etc. and other agencies to assist with supporting digital analytics efforts will also be critical to success in this role.
  • A successful candidate should be able to support the entire lifecycle of all web tools so that our customers can derive core insights from the data to suggest, create and execute multivariate or a/b/c tests that drive fundamental improvements to site experiences.

The Technical Developer will focus on multiple business unit websites and support all facets of the decision making process.
  • They will also work with Information Technology closely to identify gaps in the data capture strategy and collaboratively implement enhancements.
  • They will also be expected to partner outside the business units and outside the company to ensure that best practices in metrics and decision making are being exposed to the BU management and core website decision makers.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Sciences or a related field
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in digital marketing and performance optimization practices; implementing and configuring standard analysis and tag management tools like Adobe DTM ,Webtrends, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.
  • 2-3 years supporting web analytic tools such as Webtrends, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or Coremetrics and experience in advanced web analytics
  • Advanced technical knowledge of and ability to write JavaScript to enable all facets of web activity digital data collection and tracking
  • Experience implementing and managing a a tag management solution tool like Adobe DTM to deploy third-party tags and scripts
  • Thought leadership - Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
  • Intellectual skills to dive deep in understanding our business and our customers
  • Demonstrated history of technology-based innovation and problem solving desired
  • Understanding of marketing, customer service and corporate communications customers business needs and tools

  • Assist with implementation and configuration of Adobe DTM, Adobe Analytics and Webtrends (or other assigned web/mobile reporting tools like Google Analytics) from initial setup to on-going implementation including digital data layer development
  • Create, coordinating and implement 3rd party tags via a t enterprise tag management system like Adobe DTM
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot web analytics platform configuration issues. Understand all aspects of web analytic tool implementation (tags, sCode, plug-ins, server call types, cookies, variables, Link Tracking, JavaScript, HTML & packet sniffing)
  • Identify and troubleshoot potential issues with tags
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the digital analytics system by continually monitoring tags and resulting data
  • Work with vendors to resolve any tracking discrepancies that may require combined effort to correct
  • User acceptance test of new & modified tags created
  • Conduct audits to ensure web analytics tags are functioning and populating respective reports
  • Quickly identify causes and solutions to issues or unexpected results identified in reporting
  • Communicate changes in activity tracking tools or the site to Analytics and IT
  • Coordinate upgrades & new functionality with IT
  • Work with stakeholders across the organization to increase understanding of the Tag Management and Digital Analytics implementation to extract its full value
  • Work with analysts to be sure they can use the data captured to accomplish their original goals, and that they understand how to get to the data they want to use
  • Stay abreast on best practices and latest trends in web analytics
  • Assist in the management, maintenance, and creation of digital web analytics reports, custom Excel dashboards, and PowerPoint presentations where appropriate.
  • Interface with development teams regarding enhancements to ensure knowledge of status
