Working within the Department of Forecasting, Analytics and Market Research, the incumbent is responsible for supporting the design, development, implementation and ongoing maintenance/ administration of various managed care and commercial analyses (including but not limiting to prescriber level analytics, pull through analysis, plan level analysis) through large dataset mining, statistical modeling and solution delivery.

The incumbent will proactively provide analytic assessments to managed care and commercial programs by identifying key drivers and performance metrics to achieve optimal returns/optimal resource allocation and generate insights and recommendations. Also responsible for developing commercial analytics for other internal business partners as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the managed care analytics process from project kicking-off through data collection, processing and validation, modeling and delivering of results
  • Actively measure pull-through initiatives
  • In partnership with colleagues in Managed Care & Sales & Marketing , or under supervisor's direction, identify business issues, opportunities and data needs, designing and conducting appropriate complex secondary data analysis in response to the issues and needs identified and develops insights and effectively communicate actionable recommendations to management via presentations and reports
  • Participate in cross-functional teams requiring analytics information; assist in designing and analyzing quantitative market research
  • Assist in compilation, maintenance, and enhancement of standard market tracking reports (i.e. product audit reports, trend analysis) including quality checks, data analyses and summarizations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancy issues with internal and external data sources
  • Perform ad-hoc secondary data requests including gathering information from appropriate source(s) and performing necessary analytics

 
Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical data, especially with plan level data
  • Self-starter with strong analytical skills, decision-making capabilities and demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Working as internal consultant to assist in sculpting Managed Care pull through activity programs to improve tractability on key performance metrics
  • Must have demonstrated ability to multi-task, work closely with cross-functional team members including internal and external Business partners
  • Experiences in the process of managing outsourced projects (RFP, contract, project management, deliverables etc.)
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation and strong interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in advanced Excel is required (statistical and data manipulation experience with, and SAS a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions and provide insights & recommendations
  • Proven ability to interact with senior management in a leadership role/capacity in order to interpret and discuss results and recommend future actions
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferable in analytic chemistry, pharmacology, statistics, mathematics, finance or marketing
