The Revenue Management and Analytics (RM&A) team supports clients across The Walt Disney Company, including Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, Disney Cruise Line, Media Networks (i.e. ABC, ESPN), Studio Entertainment and Disney Interactive Media in the core competencies of yield management, revenue planning, forecasting, pricing and optimization. Key partners to the RM&A organization include Marketing, Finance, Business Development, Research and Operations.

Roles within RM&A develop, analyze, and execute strategies to maximize profitability and improve the value proposition for our Guests, Cast Members and Shareholders. Candidates should have a natural curiosity to understand the "why" behind business performance, take a proactive role in problem-solving, be results oriented, be able to prioritize and be a team player in a collaborative environment.

The Management Science & Integration (MSI) team is a dynamic group that belongs to the Revenue Management & Analytics organization. The team provides analytical consulting support to a number of business units across The Walt Disney Company, including Media Networks, Parks and Resorts, Studio Entertainment, Consumer Products and Interactive Media. This position will be engaged in projects that involve the use of complex models to answer difficult business questions, improve business efficiencies, or guide strategy development.

  • This position will support ABC Consumer Analytics through on-going and ad-hoc data analysis of their digital audience.
  • This position will also support the larger ABC Ad Sales Initiatives.

Basic Qualifications
  • Familiarity with SAS toolset
  • Proficiency with SQL and relational databases
  • Familiarity with statistical modeling and data mining techniques
  • Experience using Hive or similar query tools to access data in a Hadoop environment
  • Experience translating complex problems and solutions to all levels of an organization
  • Ability to develop clear and concise thoughts into proposals, recommendations and findings
  • Proficiency acquiring, organizing, cleansing and manipulating large amounts of data
  • Demonstrated experience performing exploratory and quantitative analysis
  • Some experience with software development and programming languages (e.g., R, Python, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with advanced modeling and data mining techniques.
  • Four plus years experience with SAS tools (e.g., Base, Enterprise Guide, Enterprise Miner, etc.)
  • Four plus years experience with SQL and database query coding
  • Previous experience working with social data or performing Social Sentiment analytics
  • Knowledge of granular digital usage and delivery data (Omniture, DoubleClick, FreeWheel, etc.)
  • Exposure to web services
  • Exposure to Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)

Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent

Preferred Education
  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics or a quantitative field or equivalent
