Spearheads the management, development and deployment of business analytical solutions relevant to Consumer Marketing while establishing and implementing data science discipline, rigor, methodologies and tools to standardize and drive best in class analytics practices in the agency. Uses analytics to uncover consumer insights and business intelligence.

Will grow a department to become a central intelligence desk for the agency and advance the agency's value proposition of data driven strategy grounded in predictive analytics; optimization techniques; consumer intelligence; integrated media measurement and analytics plan; web attribution; visualization and storytelling; and robust reporting platforms.

Will also work with the agency's multi-discipline teams (media strategists/coordinators, creative, etc.) in developing actionable insights from a holistic view of clients' campaign results drawn from the collection of empirical data, consumer insights, market intelligence, macro/micro economic factors and potential application of big data.

In this analytics role, data and its systems are the source of intelligence. Hence, requires both business and technical ability allowing for
  • hands-on and/or leadership role in the transformation of business questions into technical data requirements;
  • mapping of data strategy in collaboration with IT;
  • conversion of system's data into an error free analytical data set;
  • recommendation of scope for a business intelligence effort;
  • and spearheading the utilization of business intelligence tools.

In the development of the Data and Decision Science department, the Data Scientist will be responsible for the development, mentoring, and guidance of data science rigors, analytics, processes, communication and work flow efficiency for the team already in place, as well as growing the department to meet client expectations in line with agency growth, from staffing to data driven services generating agency fees and, ultimately, as a standalone P&L department.

Desired Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Statistics, Data Science or Analytics
  • 10+ years of Project Management experience
  • 5+ years of experience with data analytics and reporting
  • Data mining expertise with focus on consumer insights and cultural trends
  • Predictive analytics capabilities for understanding and forecasting demand
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools for quantifying and socializing business impact
  • Significant client facing experience
