About Us:
The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (MJFF) was founded in 2000 with one clear objective: accelerating meaningful therapeutic advances and, ultimately, a cure for Parkinson's disease (PD). The Foundation applies extraordinary scientific, business and media assets to this singular focus-thus creating a unique and dynamic organization. Since inception, MJFF has quickly grown into the largest global funder of Parkinson's disease research outside the U. S. federal government, having funded over $500 million in research projects in both academic and industry labs worldwide.

We believe that to find a cure for PD as quickly as possible, our capital needs to push research forward today-we therefore deliberately have no endowment or reserve. We instead start our fundraising from zero each year and seek to deploy funds raised as quickly and wisely as possible. MJFF raises over $60 million annually. Today, the Foundation has approximately 100 full-time employees who are based in New York City.

Job Summary: The Director, CRM and Analytics plays a key leadership role in enabling the Foundation to meet its strategic goals. You will have an opportunity to use your technical and strategic skills to continuously improve the efficacy of the CRM and its impact on Foundation operations. You will have significant responsibility for all platforms in our data ecosystem, analytical activities, and vendor relationships. We are looking for an individual who excels in several key areas: CRM and marketing technology, business intelligence, management and development of people, budgeting and planning, and internal/external relationship-building. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Marketing and Digital Strategies. This is an onsite position in our New York City office and is not conducive to telecommuting.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic and operational guidance on implementation of a large scoped CRM optimization project within a team, across the Foundation, and externally in collaboration with vendors/partners. Manage the delivery and maintenance of the Salesforce CRM, Convio, Adobe Analytics and Exact Target Marketing Cloud solutions, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Develop and manage the delivery of a single business intelligence reporting platform integrated with other platforms and data sources
  • Display leadership in working with senior management to ensure activities are aligned with overall business and departmental objectives
  • Develop consistent data guidelines and manage relationships with other Foundation teams to ensure smooth running of the operation and maintenance of CRM ecosystem
  • Proactively manage multiple commercial relationships with key vendors that support the staff members reporting to them or those indirectly impacted by CRM platforms outside of the team
  • Maintain and manage expenses of annual CRM & Analytics budget
  • Mentor, coach and manage 3 team members

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree, advanced degree preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience with demonstrated success in managing similar teams in a CRM management or development function at a top organization
  • Experience in building and managing budgets and strategic plans within a large organization
  • The ideal candidate will possess deep, hands-on experience managing CRM and marketing technology, either with a large consumer or non-profit brand or interactive agency with high-volume digital and non-digital campaign requirements
  • Proficient functional expertise in CRM and marketing technology, Campaign management, Predictive analytics, Business intelligence
  • Understand the end-to-end data management process, including quality assurance and demonstrated proficiency in reading logical and physical data models, understanding database data types, understanding table structures, and building queries.
  • Proficiency in the following technologies: Business intelligence (e.g. Tableau, Domo), Predictive analytics (e.g. SAS), Database platforms (e.g. MS SQL Server), Web analytics (e.g. Adobe Site Catalyst)
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and Convio Luminate platforms a plus.
