  • Provide the technical expertise necessary to perform detailed analyses of various critical business problems.
  • The purpose of these analyses is to build a specific mathematical model to address a particular problem creating a value opportunity for Dow.
  • Lead projects effectively in an independent manner with minimal direct supervision.
  • Acquire working knowledge of tools and techniques identified for data mining and modeling applications. To accomplish this, specific training in modeling techniques and prior experience in statistical, econometric, and optimization techniques is required.
  • Perform necessary pre-processing and harmonization of data to create a modeling data set utilizing the most effective methods available.
  • Clearly understand varying perspectives of a business problem/opportunity.
  • Give a structure to the business problem that can be analyzed with the available data.
  • Select the proper mathematical method (statistics, econometrics, optimization, etc.) for the problem at hand, as well as the proper implementation technology.
  • Deploy the model in a user-friendly environment and provide assessment of the quality of the model.
  • Translate complex analytical results into actionable strategies for the client in a lucid manner. Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in a quantitative field (i.e. applied stats), Masters or PhD preferred
  • 3-5 years experience minimum in predictive/prescriptive modeling in the Analytics and Big Data space The following skills are required for the role:

  • Panel Data Analysis.
  • Consumer Behavior Analytics.
  • Statistical Analysis programming languages: SAS, STATA, LIMDEP.
  • Markets and Information Economics.
  • Simulation Analysis.
