Responsibilities

The Wireless Supply Chain is undergoing an evolution to make supply chain a competitive advantage for Verizon by managing Working Capital and ensuring the highest level of Customer Satisfaction. This evolution is required to align the business need and organizational structure. The activities performed by this team must be completed in a rapid pace but must be methodical in our design and flawless in execution.

The Demand Manager is responsible for developing a demand plan for each of their specific Supplier SKU. Demand Manager is also responsible for deciding the quantity and timing of a product to be allocated and shipped to each of our current channels (Direct to Consumer, VZW retail and Indirect). Additionally, the Demand Manager will engage a dedicated Analytics and Reporting peer as part of the overall decision process by engaging business discussions and utilizing the input and output provided by these team members. The Demand Manager is responsible to have the right product at the right place at the right time. Each Demand Manager will be responsible for ~ $2B in annual purchases.

Channel Demand Planning:
  • Develop initial demand plan modeling based upon historical data and causal factors.
  • Promotional Planning - evaluate impact of promotional strategy on the demand plan including product placement.
  • Review and maintain input and output from our Logility Demand Planning software to determine replenishment needs.
  • Evaluate Out of Stock issues, focusing on minimizing shortage occurrences through analysis of data and review of safety stock levels.
  • Evaluate dynamic setting changes if inventory levels become out of balance

Qualifications
  • Bachelors of Business, Finance, Marketing or similar. Bachelors of Supply Chain Business or Operation, APICS or CPM preferred.
  • 4 - 6 yrs. of supply chain experience working in technology or related field. Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Previous hands on experience managing Demand Planning/ Forecasting.
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines, manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic and team-oriented work environment.
  • Previous leadership roles managing a team of direct and indirect team members
  • Proven Project Management experience
  • Must be detail driven with the ability to think tactically and strategically
